We came in late last night, just as they were closing up, but the owner was happy to cook us two portions of cod and chips, curry sauce, plus we had a couple of cans of pop. They were the best fish and chips we've eaten - the batter was light and crisp, the fish moist and delicate and the chips lovely and fluffy and the oil was clean (I'm a chef, I can tell these things!) We live about 40 mins away so we will have to limit our visits to when we're visiting Braintree, but we'll definitely return. Thank you for taking the time to cook our supper - you could have just said you were closed, but you didn't and we really appreciate your friendly service.

Sat in the restaurant last night. Great food which was cooked fresh and was nice and hot. Lovely staff who were very attentive. Great value for money. Lovely and clean. Thankyou all the staff at Micks, we will be back 😄
